Publicity

We Need You!

We need your help getting the word out so that Syngenuity Circles can impact even more women!

We have reached out to several organizations, networks, etc. (see below). Word of mouth will also help Syngenuity Circles connect more women across the country and world, whether inviting a friend to participate, hosting yourself, or attending an online or in-person Syngenuity Circle yourself.

If you have a suggestion for someone/organization/network for us to reach out to, whether for a monthly Syngenuity Circle or Special Edition, or if someone you can connect us to, please email us at syngenuitycircles@gmail.com

Ellen DeGeneres

Submitted the following for “Jeannie Wants to Make Your Dreams Come True!” 2/28/2018

My dream is to facilitate a Syngenuity Circle on Ellen’s show with Ellen, Sarah Palin, Michelle Obama, Jennifer Lopez, Connie Chung, Megan Markle, and Malala Yousafzai. A year ago, I started Syngenuity Circles with the purpose of connecting women across differences using my photos as neutral conversation starters. Syngenuity Circles give women a space to reflect and share, realize they are not alone, and work toward genuine unity.

Although the 7 women participants on Ellen’s show would be from varying backgrounds, the common denominator would be my four photos that would act as memory-stimulators, meaning-makers, and metaphors. This experience would continue to expand and multiply the impact of Syngenuity Circles by having women who are in the public eye participate in a Syngenuity Circle themselves and bring awareness, interest, and voice to what Syngenuity Circles is doing and promote more widespread participation. Thus to empower women across the nation, and world, to bridge the divides with open, honest, hate-free dialogue that forges new beginnings of shared peace, love, and unity, and thus rewrite HERstory.

Contacted Annette Young, the show’s anchor, with the following 3/2/2018

People say photos are worth a thousand words, but they can also serve as a catalyst for change. Syngenuity Circles is a platform designed to allow women of diverse backgrounds to come together and share different views, thoughts, feelings, and experiences, all elicited from four photos. Through this experience, women use photos as memory-stimulators, meaning-makers, and metaphors. When women connect in this unique way as a means to share a piece of their story, women experience opportunities to reflect, to realize they are not alone, to heal, and to claim the power to work toward genuine unity.

Each woman brings her own lived experiences and feelings to a Syngenuity Circle. When she shares these through the vehicle of photos, Syngenuity Circles’ sharing process paves the way for change as her perspectives reshape how other women see the photo, see her, see their own experiences, and see the world. Thus Syngenuity Circles is not meant to be the end goal or even the resolution to women’s individual, local, and global challenges. Rather Syngenuity Circles is to produce new beginnings that prompt women to take what they’ve experienced back with them to their communities and allow it to affect their encounters with differences and shape their thoughts, decisions, and actions.

Having the opportunity to facilitate a Syngenuity Circle on The 51% show with prominent  women would continue to expand and multiply the impact of Syngenuity Circles by having women who are in the public eye participate in a Syngenuity Circle themselves and bring awareness, interest, and voice to what Syngenuity Circles is doing and thus promote more widespread participation. This would then help Syngenuity Circles to empower women across the nation, and world, to bridge the divides with open, honest, hate-free dialogue that forges new beginnings of shared peace, love, and unity, and thus rewrite HERstory.

ABC’s The View

A close friend of the founder’s, Leslie McKenna submitted the following 3/9/2018 to “Have an Incredible Story to Share? ‘The View’ is the Place to Be Heard”

In honor of Women’s History Month, may I highlight one woman currently working to make history for the health of our country? Christina Martinez-Williams founded an organization called Syngenuity Circles.  The mission: “We come together, empowering women across the nation to bridge the divides with open, honest, hate-free dialogue that forges new beginnings of shared peace, love, and unity, and thus rewrite HERstory.”

Women meet every other month in locations across the nation. During the hour, they view and discuss four photographs. That’s it! Four photographs, women observing, speaking, listening, making connections, photo by photo, woman by woman.  The experience may best be described as meditation meets art appreciation meets group therapy.

I’m writing to recommend Christina as a guest on The View, not only because her concept and efforts are inspiring, but because she IS inspiring. She is spunky, articulate, intelligent, bi-lingual, and passionate about her vision.

Would you consider having Christina as a guest with the hosts of The View to lead a mini session of Syngenuity Circles?  Her efforts could benefit greatly from wider exposure across the country. Your request for submissions says, “With the help of just one person we can inspire millions!” I believe Christina is absolutely a person to inspire millions, given the right platform and opportunity to inspire.
